🛑 THE ULTIMATE EASTER RIG SURVIVAL CHECKLIST

On April 3rd, millions of Aussies are hitching up and hitting the highway for the long weekend. Half of them will end up on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck.

Don't be a holiday statistic. Run through this 5-point checklist before you leave the driveway:

1️⃣ THE "WIGGLE" TEST (Bearings) Jack up the van and give the wheels a solid shake at 12 and 6 o'clock. If there is movement or a grinding noise, repack those bearings immediately.

2️⃣ THE WEIGH-IN (GVM/GCM) Are you packing the heavy gear (water, annex, batteries) over the axles, or is it hanging off the rear? Bad weight distribution is the #1 cause of high-speed caravan sway.

3️⃣ THE FIRST AID AUDIT Throwing an old box of Band-Aids in the glovebox won't cut it. You are heading into the bush—make sure you have a dedicated, up-to-date Snake Bite compression bandage.

4️⃣ THE POWER CHECK Clean your solar panels, check your Anderson plug connections, and make sure your deep cycle batteries are actually holding a 100% charge.

5️⃣ THE INVISIBLE DANGER (Tyres) You can't feel a slow leak from the driver's seat. A 5 PSI drop is enough to destroy your fuel economy, and a 15 PSI drop at 100km/h is a guaranteed blowout waiting to happen.

Don't trust the "Servo Kick" test. 🥾❌

Equip your rig with a Flatmate TPMS. It monitors your tyre pressures and temperatures 24/7, keeping you in the optimal "green zone" to save you fuel and prevent catastrophic blowouts before they (Link Here)
