Can I use TPMS on my caravan?
Yes, monitoring trailer tyres is critical. Flatmate systems are perfect for keeping a close eye on your caravan where you can't easily feel a flat.
What is the signal range?
Flatmate uses a strong wireless receiver designed to transmit cleanly from the rear axles of most standard caravans and boat trailers directly to your dash.
Do I need a signal booster for a long caravan?
For exceptionally long setups, signal boosters are available, but Flatmate’s powerful default range covers most standard tow vehicles and caravans.
Can I monitor 6 or 8 wheels at once?
Yes, Flatmate offers customizable kits so you can monitor your dual-cab and your dual-axle caravan all on one screen.
Why do caravan tyres blow out so often?
Heavy loads and under-inflation cause extreme heat buildup; Flatmate’s temperature alerts stop this chain reaction before it destroys your wheel arch.
How do I adjust pressure for sand driving?
When you air down for the beach, simply adjust your Flatmate low-pressure alarm threshold so it doesn't beep while you tackle the dunes.
Will it work on a boat trailer?
Yes, but remember to remove Flatmate sensors before backing your wheels completely underwater at the boat ramp to ensure maximum lifespan.
Does it monitor the spare tyre?
You can easily add an extra Flatmate sensor to your spare, ensuring you never get stranded with a flat backup.
Can it detect a slow leak in my trailer?
Yes, this is its primary job. Flatmate will detect a slow puncture hours before the tyre goes completely flat, letting you pull over safely.
